History

Lakeview Memorial Gardens was founded in 1914, it's the oldest non-denominational cemetery on the West Island. It's the gateway to The Field of Honour, the country's military cemetery and a National Historic site. In 1985 Memorial Gardens Canada purchased Lakeview Cemetery to add to it's roster of 41 cemeteries across the country. Memorial Gardens also has 85 funeral homes and operate 21 crematoriums. In addition to burial property with upright tombstones there are numerous other options including burial property above ground for cremated remains, benches and pedestals.

Lakeview Memorial Gardens is the final resting place for over ten thousand souls. If you have a family member at Lakeview, whether in a traditional lot with a tombstone or in a niche with a bronze plaque we would be priveleged to honour them on this website.
